It is an exciting time, for my flat mates -from ten years ago.
Our former flat mate Wendy, got married, early this year. My former roommate, Yashee, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. My younger brother Vito, who used to stay in the apartment, got married this year.
And of course, my dear friend, flat mate and office mate, Mary Christine, is getting married. ( once, she did me the favor, of being the maid-of-honor, in my wedding )
Before our friend and soon-to-be-bride, Tin-Tin, would say her I dos, our friend Wendy, decided to surprise her, with a bridal shower.
Some of Tin-Tin’s good friends, came together, for a pampering bridal-shower party. There were seven of us, comprising her set of friends, from kinder, college, from her previous apartment, and her former workplace.
It was indeed, an intimate sparty, with only a few of us, her closest friends. ( and I am privileged to be one of them)

It was a bridal sparty hosted by Allura Spa and Aesthetic Care, along East Ave in Quezon City -which incidentally, is co-owned by the bride’s good friend, since kindergarten, Chiel.
It was an afternoon, well spent.
The soon-to-be-bride was served with all the pampering services that she might need before the big day, while some of us opted for a massage.
We all brought her special gifts, some too special though, we cannot share them on the net.
Oh, except for the two books I gave her:
“Stupid is Forever” by Miriam Santiago and “The One year Love Language Minute Devotional” by Gary Chapman.
We did not only share glasses of wine and plates of chips, but we also digged into some anecdotes and trivia, on how we all became friends, with the bride. I am also thankful for having gained new friends. It was fun, girls!
Most of all, it made us happy, to see that our presence, made the bride tearful but happy.
We thank our friend Wendy, for organizing the spa, for the soon-to-be-bride.
So next time you would want to surprise your bride-friend and make her feel special, bring her to a place like this.
