Hello!
My name is Rafa.
I am five years old.
And I just love everything about,
The Mind Museum at Taguig.
I have been there three times already.
The first time was when I was three years old and the second was when I was four:
And now that I am five, I visited The Min
d Museum again!
The Mind Museum at Taguig is a wide two-storied building which is divided into galleries:
Atom,
Earth,
Life,
Universe
and Technology
It is a large playground of Science. It teaches and informs me about science through interactive media. It has helped me appreciate how things around me worked. Or how hardworking scientists must be. And learning has never been that fun. I could just be myself when I am there. I read the signs. I pushed buttons. I stepped on levers. I pressed panels. All those, without my mom having to tell me , “STOP ” .( You know how moms are. )
So many things to discover there -especially for an active and curious little boy like me:
I then hoped to become a paleontologist someday, as I marvelled at a colossal T-Rex skeleton:
… a gigantic sized brain :
… a humongous whale shark :
I immersed myself in the vastness of The Universe:
The moon, the moon, the beautiful moon
I trifled with laser: ( how great is that?)
I witnessed how a volcano errupts: ( in its miniature form that is.)
And somehow, I now have an image in my mind, on how draw bridges lift in the center so ships could pass:
The Mind Museum is for grown-ups too.
( My mom -as static electricity went shooting through her hair: )
And I got free hugs too:
Thank you Miss Trixie Tacardon for inviting my family and giving us free whole day passes to The Mind Museum and The Da Vinci Exhibit.
We had a great time!
The Mind Museum is at the 3rd Avenue of Bonifacio Global City
Manila, Philippines
Visit them at www.themindmuseum.org
I’m gonna bring my Daency there this December. I just regret that I just decided to do it this late.
Yes, yes bring her there! Oh, she will like it there. Don’t worry, that is okay, no learning will ever be too late for the children. They have the whole future to gain knowledge from. =)
The most important thing I think, so the both of you would get an absolute and comprehensive experience at the museum is that you both have to go to each gallery and their exhibits one by one -and patiently READ everything.
And plus , find out where the levers, the panels and buttons are etc, etc…
( though, the thing with kids nowadays, they know where the buttons are. In fact, after Rafa gets to press something, I just say, ” Ay ganoon pala yun, ‘nak?hahaha.)
They have shows at the Universe gallery too, ask their Mind Movers ( guides ) what the schedules are.
Visit their facebook page too.
Enjoy!
